• A guidance curriculum helps students develop skills to improve their personal, social, and educational development.  FBISD elementary school counselors use ChildBuilders to teach students to Stand Strong and Stay Safe using these four safety codes or guiding principles:

    1. I deserve respect (and so do my classmates/teachers).
    2. I have the right to be safe (and I know what is safe).
    3. I have the power to choose (and I can choose an assertive response).
    4. I will get help (and I will keep telling until I get the help I need).
