  • Hey there!

Since we will be spending the next nine months (and for some of you, next FOUR years!) together, I thought it would be great for you to get to know me! My name is Ms. Drake, and I am your counselor this school year. This school year marks my 14th as a member of the Clements Ranger family. Prior to becoming a counselor, I taught Social Studies (AP World History most recently) for ten years here at Clements, and also served as the Social Studies Department Chair from 2019-2021. This is my fourth year in the counseling department, and I'm incredibly excited to help you with anything you need--from schedule changes, to being a sympathetic ear, and everything in-between.

I'm originally from the Houston area and grew up in Channelview, a suburb just east of Downtown. I attended the University of Texas at Austin where I received my B.A. in History with a minor in Education through the UTeach-Liberal Arts program. I was very lucky and blessed to find my home at Clements High School after graduation in 2011, and have been a member of the Ranger family since the fall of that same year. In the spring of 2019, I earned my M.Ed. in Educational Psychology from Texas A&M University; while I'm technically an Aggie grad, you'll never see me wearing Aggie colors because I still bleed burnt orange! Hook 'em Horns!

Outside of school, I love to watch Houston Texans and Texas Longhorns football in the fall, I love to travel, to spend time with my friends and family, spend WAY too much money at Target and Marshalls, watch 90 Day Fiance, and read. (I'm working my way through the #booktok lists at the moment!) I am also a proud cat mom to my five-year-old dilute calico, Rosie.

I am so excited to see you all soon! :) (and hopefully not *just* for schedule changes..I'm friendly! I promise!)
