Hello,

My name is Veena Puthigai, and I teach Resource Math for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade at Anne Sullivan Elementary. I joined the Anne Sullivan team in 2022 and have truly loved being a part of this wonderful school community.

I have been with Fort Bend ISD for over 18 years, working in the Special Education department in a variety of roles. My experience includes teaching, providing in-class behavior support, working in SAILS classrooms, and serving as a paraprofessional aide. Most of my career was in middle school settings until I transitioned to elementary education at Anne Sullivan.

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree and a diploma in Computer Science from India, as well as an Alternative Teaching Certification from the state of Texas in Special Education, as well as General Education certifications for Kindergarten through 8th grade. 

Originally from India, I moved to the United States over 33 years ago with my husband. We have two grown children and a sweet dachshund named Rambo. In my free time, I enjoy being with my family, snuggling with Rambo, and relaxing with movies and TV shows.
