Welcome to Second Grade, Dalmatians!

Hello and welcome! I’m Mrs. Blackshire, and I’m thrilled to begin this exciting school year with you.

I’ve been teaching for eleven years, and this is my seventh year at ASE—a place I truly love. I earned my degree in General Education from Houston Baptist University (now Houston Christian University), with a focus on Early Childhood through Sixth Grade.

Outside of school, I’m married to the love of my life, and together we have three amazing children - two daughters and one son. I enjoy fishing, bowling, shopping, playing family games, movie nights, and traveling whenever we get the chance.

My goal is to inspire a love of learning and to help each child grow, thrive, and reach their full potential.
