Greetings! 

I’m excited to be teaching 5th grade reading this year at JNE! I graduated from the University of Florida in 2016 with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and began my teaching journey shortly after, right in my hometown of Miami teaching 3rd and 5th grades. I moved to Houston in 2021 where I continued my career in education teaching 4th grade ELA/SS and even PK-5th Technology. I'm glad to be returning to my favorite subject, reading, here at Neill! I love connecting with students and believe that strong character, student accountability, and effective communication are the keys to a successful school year. Students will hear me stress these attributes throughout the school year. My teaching style is energetic, supportive, and focused on fostering independence, curiosity, and a love for reading.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy skating, boxing, Pilates, traveling, and diving into a good book or a Lego build. I’ve also dabbled in real estate, day trading, tutoring, and consulting in my free time. My favorite part of teaching is learning from my students and witnessing their "aha" moments as they grow into confident, capable learners.
