Hello Longhorns! 

My name is Mrs. Laila Sutar. I graduated with my Master’s in Education from HBU! I have worked in Education for more than 20 years. I have taught multiple grade levels and subjects in both public and private schools. I have been with JNE since 2023. I will be teaching 5th grade ELAR/Social Studies. 

I was raised in Chicago and during high school, we moved to Austin, and after marriage, moved back to Chicago! When I was expecting my first child, Sarah, my husband and I decided to move to Houston so we could be close to my parents. We also have one son named Sahir and a son-in-law named Taha. I can't forget to mention our family dog, Aizen, who is a gorgeous Siberian Husky. I am very family oriented, love to travel, and eat out!

My passion has always been to help others. I love educating kids because I believe “They” are our future. My goal is to provide the best education possible. I hope to implant the love of learning and build self-confidence. I am so blessed to be part of Neill's exceptional team of educators.

As a teacher, I hope to instill a love of learning, self-confidence, and a growth mindset.  I want students to know that our classroom is a safe space to make mistakes, challenge ourselves, and grow. Our classroom is a family where we grow and learn together both socially and academically.
