FBISD Board of Trustee’s Student Leadership Program
FORT BEND ISD (March 25, 2021) – The application for the FBISD Board of Trustee’s student leadership program, Leadership 101, is open, and all high school juniors are encouraged to apply. The deadline to apply is April 9.
The program, called Leadership 101, is a two-year leadership program for high school students, with three students chosen per school. During the junior year, students explore leadership skills through topics such as youth advocacy, service and volunteerism, local government in action, business, and health care through monthly seminars and site visits. During their senior year, the cohort transitions to Leadership 102, and students develop partnerships with non-profit agencies in the community.
The online application is open to all incoming high school juniors.
Applicants should be in good academic and behavioral standing, have an interest in developing their personal leadership skills, obtain written permission from parents, and be fully aware of attendance expectations before submitting an application.
